Trekking in Peru

Check another one off that bucket list.

You’re one part active expedition member, one part storyteller. First up. Last to bed. You’ll be in the thick of it — trying to make it down the trail while also managing your gear, shooting on-the-go, and honing those filmmaking skills. It can be a lot to juggle, we know. Let us show you the tricks of the trade.

This trip is appropriate for both beginner and advanced filmmakers/adventurers. Gain strategies to keep shooting for multiple days in remote locations, learn timelapse techniques, and hone your craft as your story evolves. Work with our experienced team to gain real-world field experience creating your own 3-5 minute film in Peru.

As if the beautiful backdrop of the Andes and Machu Picchu weren’t enough, this course features AFS instructor and Emmy award winning filmmaker Keith Partridge. From the summit of Everest to deep unexplored caves, his experience in adventure filmmaking is surpassed by very few. Keith’s work has been shown on the BBC, Discovery, National Geographic, and 20th Century Fox. This Touching the Void filmmaker is recognized internationally for his work in extreme-locations and for 2 weeks will be your personal mentor. If that doesn’t get you excited, we’re not sure what will!
